DRONTAL ALLWORMER CHEWS FOR MEDIUM DOGS 10KG 5 CHEWS Does Not Treat Heartworm

Each chew contains: 250 mg Febantel, 50mg Praziquantel and 49.8mg Pyrantel as Pyrantel Embonate

Controls all 12 gastrointestinal worms and the shedding of Giardia cysts.

PUPPIES:

Treat at 2,4,6,8,10 and 12 weeks of age, then at 4,5 and 6 months of age.

ADULTS: (Over 6 months)

Every 3 months. Every 6 weeks in Hydatid tapeworm infested locations. If Whipworm is a problem, retreat every 6-8 weeks.

PREGNANT/LACTATING BITCHES

Treat at mating, then 10 days before whelping and at 2 and 4 weeks after whelping, then every 3 months.

Drontal Allwormer tablets kill every type of intestinal worm found in Australian dogs, including roundworm, hookworm, whipworm and tapeworm.

Indication	Gastrointestinal worms in dogs including roundworms (Toxocara, Toxascaris), hookworms ( Ancylostoma caninum, A. braziliense, A. ceylanicum, Uncinaria sp.), whipworms (Trichuris) and tapeworms (Echinococcus, Dipylidium, Taenia sp.); and to control the shedding of oocysts of the protozoan Giardia sp. in dogs.
Actions	Praziquantel destroys the tapeworm's ability to defend itself from the host's digestive enzymes and immune system. It also appears to interfere with the musculature of the scolex such that the parasite loses its attachment to the gut wall.Febantel acts upon the energy pathways of roundworm parasites; pyrantel embonate interferes with their nervous system. The roundworm parasites are therefore attacked via two separate modes of action.
Precautions	When using to treat Giardia, Drontal should be used only in proven cases of infection.Disposal Dispose of used containers by wrapping in paper and placing in garbage.
Dosage and Administration	Gastrointestinal worms. 1 Drontal tablet of appropriate formulation depending on size of dog. Giardia infections. Drontal should be administered at the usual anthelmintic dosage for three consecutive days.
Storage	Store below 30°C (room temperature).
